Pakistan Ledger is committed to accurate, independent, and transparent economic journalism. This page explains how we make editorial decisions, how we source our reporting, and what standards we hold ourselves to.
Independence
Pakistan Ledger’s editorial content is produced independently. Advertisers, sponsors, and commercial partners have no influence over what we publish, how we cover topics, or what positions we take. Commercial relationships are always clearly separated from editorial content.
The editor makes all final decisions on what is published and how it is framed.
Sources and Verification
We hold ourselves to the following sourcing standards:
Every statistic or data point published on Pakistan Ledger is sourced from a primary or official source. Our primary sources include:
- State Bank of Pakistan (SBP)
- International Monetary Fund (IMF)
- Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS)
- Federal Board of Revenue (FBR)
- Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP)
- Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX)
- World Bank
- Asian Development Bank (ADB)
- Ministry of Finance, Government of Pakistan
We do not use other news articles as primary sources for statistics. If a figure cannot be verified from a primary source, it is not published.
Corrections
Pakistan Ledger corrects errors transparently and promptly. When an error is identified — whether by a reader or internally — we update the article and note the correction clearly at the bottom of the piece. We do not silently delete or alter content without acknowledgment.

Opinion and Analysis
Pakistan Ledger publishes analysis and opinion alongside news reporting. All opinion and analysis pieces are clearly labeled as such. The views expressed in analysis pieces reflect the author’s independent assessment — not the institutional position of Pakistan Ledger as a publication.
Sponsored and Branded Content
Any content produced in partnership with a commercial sponsor is clearly labeled “Sponsored” or “In Partnership With [Brand]” at the top of the piece. Sponsored content is never disguised as editorial journalism.
AI and Technology
Pakistan Ledger may use AI writing tools as research and drafting aids. All published content is reviewed, edited, and verified by a human editor before publication. AI-generated statistics or claims are never published without independent verification against primary sources.
