Our Mission
Most economic journalism in Pakistan is written for elites, insiders, and those who already understand the system. Inflation numbers are reported without context. IMF deals are announced without explanation. Currency devaluations are covered without telling anyone what it means for their salary, their business, or their family.
Pakistan Ledger exists to change that.
We believe economic awareness creates stronger societies, smarter businesses, and more informed citizens. Our job is to explain the economy — not just report it.

Who We Are
Pakistan Ledger is founded and edited by Mehmood ul Hasan Qadir — an economist, financial analyst, and writer based in Dubai, UAE.
Mehmood holds a BS in Economics from the University of Education Lahore and works as a CFO-level financial practitioner in the UAE. He writes at the intersection of economics, business journalism, and public understanding — with a focus on making Pakistan’s economic story accessible to professionals, entrepreneurs, and the diaspora.
